Description of the location
Silvi is a town in the Abruzzo region, Teramo province.
Silvi has around 15,000 residents and boasts a developed infrastructure including shopping centers, small shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, pharmacies, gardens, and a school, providing everything needed for daily life.
With its ancient history, the first mentions of the borgo Silvi date back to the early Middle Ages. The oldest part of the town, Silvi Paese, is situated atop a hill and is surrounded by defensive walls. From the city walls, breathtaking views of green hills, olive groves, and the sea unfold. The central point of Silvi Paese is the Church of Saint Salvadore, dating back to 1252.
Down by the Adriatic Sea lies the seaside area: the resort town of Silvi Marina. White, green, and pink houses with red roofs dot the landscape, surrounded by blooming oleanders, cypresses, and pine trees.
Silvi Marina boasts the Blue Flag, a recognition in Italy for clean, safe, well-maintained, and comfortable beaches. The sea is ideal for family vacations, with its white sand and shallow waters allowing children to play safely.
Silvi Marina has a railway station and excellent bus connections to Pescara and other cities. There's also an express bus service from Rome to Silvi.
