Description of the location

Palmoli is a picturesque Italian village located on a hill at an altitude of 711 meters above sea level in the Abruzzo region, in the province of Chieti. It is home to approximately 1000 permanent residents. Stepping into the historic center of Palmoli with its courtyards, lunettes (arched openings), and wrought iron railings along steep cobblestone streets, you feel like you're traveling back in time and finding yourself in a medieval town. In the highest part of the town stands the beautifully preserved, majestic castle (former residence of the Marquises of San Giuliano and Galiati, now a national heritage site of Italy, and the pride of the village residents).
Life in the village unfolds without the hustle and bustle of a metropolis, but with all the conveniences - shops, grocery stores, post office, pharmacy - you can find everything you need, and the local residents will be very friendly and warm towards you.
The nearest large cities, San Salvo and Vasto, are a half-hour drive from Palmoli, and there are bus services to these cities.
